Kit list for exercise and running
(Please note this is not an extensive list. If you have kit you know you feel comfortable training in, please do bring it along)
Trainers & Clothing
- Trail shoes, suitable for rocky terrain (make sure you wear them in and you are not wearing them for the first time). Trainers such as La Sportiva and Inov-8 are fantastic in this kind of terrain. Trainers that are comfortable when both running and walking are recommended.
- Go light and warm – layers to exercise on site and to run in (long and short sleeved). Be aware that you may feel warm when running but require extra layers when you reach a higher altitude and stop to admire the views.
- Compression / calf socks (not for everyone, but they are something that some find helpful)
- Swimwear
- Running socks
- Waterproofs (Top and Bottom)
- Warm Layers
Accessories
- Fitness/ sports running watch
- Trail Running Backpack 10Lt minimum (That can hold Hydration bladder / soft pack water bottles, waterproofs and spare top)
- Running belt
- Running gels (We suggest you practice trying different ones to see how you find them)
- Hat, gloves, buff
- Small first aid it and blister pack
